The Bangladeshi Islamic Centre (BIC) is a formally constituted, community led, independent charitable organisation, committed to the alleviation of disadvantage, inequality and deprivation through a targeted range of services to the communities of Sandwell and with a particular focus upon the Bangladeshi community. Among the wide range of services we provide, information, advice & guidance is amongst the most important to our communities with an average well in excess of 1,000 clients per annum coming to us for support.

 

Hourly Rate:            £12.50

Hours of Work:        29 Hours per week.

Salary:                    £18,850

Length of Contract: Fixed Term until August 2020 potential extension subject to funding.

BIC is looking for a Family matters support worker, who will lead on the support for the most disadvantaged unemployed and economically inactive families in the Black Country to get back into employment, training or learning opportunities.

 

You will have a background in family and employment support, with an extensive knowledge of employment barriers. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
