JOB TITLE:                                  Part Time Women’s Development Worker

RESPONSIBLE TO:                     CEO

ACCOUNTABLE TO:                  Management Committee

PURPOSE OF JOB:                    The role of the Part Time Women Development will be to listen and respond to the needs of Asian Women within the local community, offering advice, support and services to enable them to be empowered individuals

STARTING DATE:                       As soon as possible

DISCLOSURE:                              The successful candidate will not be confirmed into post until a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) has been carried out and the results are satisfactory. 

SALARY:                                       £16,900.00

HOURS OF WORK:                    25 hours per week (open to job share)

CONTRACT:                                 22 months fixed term (reviewed annually)

LOCATION:                                  Sandwell

JOB VACANCY: Neighbourhood Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Neighbourhood Coordinator

RESPONSIBLE TO: Centre Manager
PURPOSE OF JOB:

BIC is looking for a Neighbourhood Coordinator, who will lead and organise activities to tackle the disadvantages faced by Bangladeshi Men since Covid-19. Deliver a support programme to reduce isolation and boost confidence for those facing loneliness, mental stress and suffering from grief. Create opportunities to gain soft skills, get involved in volunteering opportunities and enjoy life for the for the most disadvantaged Bangladeshi Men.

You will have a background in Community Work, with an extensive knowledge of barriers faced by Bangladeshi Men. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently and part of a team.

Hourly Rate:              £20.00

Hours of Work:          7 Hours per week

Salary:                        £7,280

Length of Contract:  Fixed Term until March 2025.
